a special birthday --

hi everyone --

been a while since i posted -- but i have a cute ladybug birthday card and bag for you today!

i have been blessed with 3 god-children (one is my nephew, 2 my best friends little ones), and the youngest little one just turned 1!  happy birthday little sophia!

it was a ladybug themed party -- and i'm so thrilled with how this turned out.

isn't this the sweetest card! :)

the card base was done using a Sizzix die in my Cuttlebug -- it's this die:

i used black cardstock covered with the red and black polka dot paper.

the ladybug is popped up on a demensional, and is made using a 1 1/4 circle punch for the head - large oval punch, and 2 medium punches (SU punches were used) for the body and the wings.

the stamp set fro the letters is from hampton arts.

i drew - freehand, the lines and dots around the edge of the white cardstock.

how fun, right?!

but, no 1st birthday ladybug party gift could be without a special bag ;)

i purchased the red bag, and used my 1 3/8 SU pinch to make some ladybug spots -- glued them all over the bag.  how cute, and EASY!

then, i added the fun name tag.  the white craft ink (SU)made it look like a chalkboard.

too cute, and the birthday girl loved the fun colors! :)

thanks so much for stopping by!  be sure to stop back soon!

happy stamping!  hope to see you again soon!

winter thanks. . .

a cute project to share with you today -- these are the thank you notes i made to send out after christmas.

cute, huh?  here's how they went together ---

  • the card base is from studio g, the snowman was already cut out.
  • the ribbon - although you can't tell from the pics very well -- has a sparkle to it, i picked it up in acmoore's.
  • the tag - the bottom layer is a piece of green cardstock i had on hand - same with the plain white.  i used marina mist ink from SU, and the thank you set also comes from an SU stamp set.  i used a dauber to add some old olive ink (also SU) around the edge.  the white tag was cut out with the large SU tag punch -- the green one i cut freehand.  the tag is finished off with blue baker's twine.

  • you can see the round piece a little easier in the above photo.  this was cut out with a 2 3/8 circle punch from SU - again, olive green on the edges.  then i used versamark to stamp the snowflake, and covered it in snowflake embossing powder.
  • i also used the olive green  to highlight the edges of the pre-cut snowman.

thanks for stopping by!  be sure to stop by again -- lots more fun stuff happening around the craft table! :)  happy stamping!

a special happy birthday --

it's my nephew's 6th birthday!  where does the time go?  he wanted a dinosaur birthday party this year.  i don't have any dinosaur stamps -- so, i went in search of a digi stamp.

i love the stamps at Bugaboo -- and i found the perfect dinosaur digi.  i don't use digis (digital stamps) that often - but i love them for situations like this.

this turned out so cute -- sorry the picture isn't that great.

it's hard to tell the size, but it fits in a legal size envelope.

i printed the digi out - measured where i wanted the fold, and scored it.  cut around the dinosaur with an x-acto knife, and used matching colored paper to cover the cut out section on the back of the card. (should have taken a pic -- sorry).

the dinosaur is colored with blender pens and Stampin' Up watercolor crayons.
the sentiment is a new SU stamp set called wacky sentiments.

i love how it turned out!  hope he loves it too ;)

jumping back in --

wow.  i didn't realize i haven't written in awhile.  sorry about that.

here's a project i've been working in on -- if your on my facebook page you might have already seen them.  a customer asked for 150 ladybug cupcake toppers for an engagement party -- a picnic theme.

here they all are -- 150 cute ladybug toppers.  cute, right?

but she had a dilemma.  the cupcake stand she was going to use for them didn't have enough room for the toppers on the shelves.  so, i came up with a solution - i stuck half on golf tee pegs --- so this way, they sat flatter, and up off of the frosting.  brilliant -- aren't i?  hehehe --- so half (with the gingham ribbon) stoop upright, and the other half laid flat.

these were simple enough to do -- all the pieces were punched with Stampin' Up punches.  the spots are stickles - glitter glue.

i hope they enjoyed their party -- did i forget to mention she needed them made and shipped to her within 6 days -- got them done, shipped overnight!  i aim to please! :)

thanks for stopping by!

sorry again for being so late in posting --
more coming soon!

happy stamping ---

birthday wishes - -

ok -- back with some new cards - up today is a cute and easy birthday card.

how sweet is this ---
the card is a pre-cut tag card from Paper Cuts -- i picked them up when  went to the Allentown show in April.

i then used a piece of fun designer paper that i had from a stack i got in the craft store, and stamped it with the happy birthday greeting - i'm not sure "who" the stamp is by.

i finished it off my punching a hole t the top and attaching a matching ribbon.

a quick and great card.

hope you enjoyed it - and it gave you an idea :)

thanks for stopping by -- be sure to pop in again - more cards are o the way ---

happy stamping!

cute little onsie --

you may have been following along with the things i made for a baby shower.  if not -- scroll back a few posts and you can check them out!

here is the last post for the shower -- this is so cute!  this is the card i made for mommy.

ADORABLE! right?  i found the template for the onsie on pintrest -- i'm addicted to pintrest btw ;) (i'll add the link to the template below)

i folded white cardstock in half, so it opens up - fold at the top.  i then covered it in a cute designer paper.  teh white ruffles are made using the small scallop punch from SU, and a circle punch.

a cute little ribbon sets it off!

here is where you can find the template ONSIE TEMPLATE

i hope you've enjoyed the projects from the baby shower!  be sure to stop by again soon and check out the other fun projects i have in the works :)

butterfly favors

welcome back --

:)

here are the favors for the baby shower that i mentioned in a previous post -- we had a butterfly theme to celebrate this new little girl on the way!

like the invitations -- these are all a little different. i started off by covering a clothes pin with fabric - again, using pink, green, yellow and purple.  to do this - cut the fabric to fit the clothespin.  apply a thin layer of modge podge to the clothes pin and place the fabric strip on top.  allow it to dry.  then apply a thin coat over the top and again, let dry.

i then added a little 'bling' with a few stick on rhinestones.  i also added some magnet strips to the back - allowing the guest to have something "usable".

i used a lilac cardstock, run through the cuttlebug in the swiss dot embossing folder for the bottom label - cut with the stampin' up label punch..  the smaller one - also punched with the the SU punch, was stamped with a pair of baby booties (sorry, they didn't show up great in the pics) in blushing bride pink SU ink.  'thank you for coming' was done on the computer.  i also used the pink inlk to sponge around the edges.  i used a piece of pink or yellow ribbon to attach it.

i used 10 hershey kisses inside pink favor bags -- the bags were folded down, and gsthered in the middle -- and stuck inside the clothes pin.

so cute!  and i like that they have something t use after the candy is gone.  the fabric coverd pin can be used to post notes on the fridge, or as a bag clip.

hope you enjoyed today's project.  i have one more post coming up from the shower -- the card i made for her!  so, stop by again to check it out!

thanks for stopping by! happy stamping!

it's a girl!

i haven't been posting to much lately -- i've been busy!  my dearest, and best friend is having a baby!  it's a girl!  so excited for her and her husband, and the new big brother.

so -- that means --- a shower!  woohoo! ;)

today i'll be posting the invitations -- be watching for more posts soon - favors, and the card i made.

anyway -- let's get started!

these are soooo cute!

each one is a little different.  the base of each card is either a cute pastel - pink, yellow, lilac, or green.  each tag is also one of those 4 colors, and each is tied with a yellow or pink ribbon.

i used the stampin' up stocking die to cut out the bootie (cardstock was folded in half, and cut out with the fold at the top, so that the card opens). the booties where then run through the cuttlebug (front only) in the swiss dot embossing folder.  i then punched slots in the cuff - using a SU punch, (sorry, i don't remember the name if it, but it looks something like this:  |  |  ), and then ran the ribbon though and up to tie a bow.  i placed the cuff even with the top of the stocking to make it look more like a little bootie or sock instead of a stocking.

the tag was cut out on the cricut - a walk in my garden cartridge.  i used the bread tag function.  we had a butterfly themed shower, so this added the butterfly touch nicely!  i didn't have a stamp that i liked, or fit that said baby shower, so i printed these out on the computer.  i then sponged the edges with a little blushing bride pink SU ink so it pops a bit.

i was so happy with how these turned out!  too cute!  i made 55 for the shower -- along with the rsvp's i got many great compliments! :)

i hope you enjoyed today's project ---

don't forget to stop back in a day or two -- i'll be posting the favors i made - cute butterflies!  you won't want to miss them!

thanks for stopping by!  happy stamping . . .

petals and candlelight ---

i ran across a you tube video that uses the ornament punch from stampin' up to make a cute paper flower.   she added battery operated candle to the center - it's so cute!

here is one i made -

aren't they sweet!  they really aren't that hard to make.  here is a pic of one with the candle lit.

since i didn't come up with the design, here is the you tube video i watched.  she uses glitter in the video to give it some bling.  i opted not to -- but i might make another one and put some on to see which i like better. :)

i'm also going to play around with other colors! :)

here's the video  from you tube-

thanks so much for stopping by!  see you again soon ---

inspirational ---

i've posted about the coasters and trivets i've been stamping -- i love the look of the tumbled tiles, a rustic charm.

i've expanded the tile concept into magnets - i had a bunch of these in my etsy shop - and they have been moving very well.  each has a different inspirational quote (from various stamp sets from Stampin' Up)!

i love that no 2 of these will be the same - the cracks and holes and patches in the tile make each one unique.

these are easy enough to do --- the tiles i bought  a "sheet" of at lowe's, and unlike the coasters and trivets - these you can use whatever ink you like.  the coasters and trivets i use stazon because it doesn't run with the water and or heat placed on it.

you could also seal the tiles with modpodge if you wanted too since they don't need to be absorbent.  i just attached a heavy duty magnet to the back.

wouldn't these would make a great gift for a friend, or a party favor?

thanks for stopping by today!  hope to see you again soon!

happy stamping!
