quick and cute magnet

i know, i know --- this has been neglected again.  i'll try to be better! ;)

here is a cute -- and quick project for you today ---

i just made some of these to put in my etsy shop.  the other one is a cranberry color.

these are made with the SU stamp set simply said.  the papers are also from SU -- an older patern pack - pack 3 i believe.

once everything is stamped and put together i put it in a 2.5 x 3.5 acrylic frame - with a magnet on teh back.

i love this stamp set -- i use it alot.

this is such a sweet little gift for a friend!

thanks for stopping by!  happy stamping!

with deepest sympathy. . .

i'm not one for having a bunch of cards on hand so i can just pick one and send it out -- i like to make things with people in mind.  over the weekend i learned of 2 deaths, and needed to make some sympathy cards.

i love this set from SU - called inspired by nature.  it's so versatile.

the set is 2 pieces - the grass is one stamp, the flowers another.  i also used SU colors -- purely pomegranate (card stock, and ink on sentiment), and black card stock and ink, and white card stock.  the sentiment is something i picked up in the dollar bin.  the sentiment is popped up.

i love the silhouette effect - my husband looked at it and wondered why i made dead flowers -- sigh. ;)

hopefully the card will bring the recipients some comfort.

thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

tote bag --

as promised here is the project i was working on using the tote bag from the same company as the last post -- too much fun rubber stamps.

this is also too cute!!!

cute right!

here is a pic of it open --

this was also easy to do.  the totebag is stamped with SU true thyme.   the hydrangea is from the SU set - because i care, and is stamped in SU perfect plum and true thyme.  i also punched some holes and laced some ribbon through it.  i also misted it with angel glimmer mist.

i'm using this for a mother's day card, but imagine the possibilities!

happy stamping!  see you again soon!

another challenge. . .

well -- what the heck, let's try another challenge, shall we.

this is for the CAS (clean and simple) challenge, again at splitcoast stampers.  the theme is"artist's rule of three".  the challenge was to use something -- images, embellishments, etc.in 3's  and to keep it "clean and simple".

so, here is what i came up with.  the picture isn't great - but you get the idea ;)

papers -- SU - chocolate chip and crumb cake, and white
inks -- chocolate chip
ribbon-- SU gingham

i like this stamp set.  as you might notice i used the bench in an anniversary card earlier.

thanks for stopping by!

on to the next challenge! :)

taking on a challenge . . .

well, i did it.  i jumped in a tried a challenge at splitcoast stampers.  this card is for the sketch challenge (#330).

here is the sketch we had to work with this week.

the idea of a sketch challenge is to come up with a design following the sketch - using whatever colors, stamps or papers you desire. it really is quite fascinating to see what everyone comes up with - all following the sketch, all looking different.

And...here is what i came up with:

i love this stamp -- it's so fun!

the papers are stampin' up! - chocolate chip, crumb cake, and a light blue (can't remember the name). i also used designer paper from a stack i got at michael's.

the stamps are from hero arts (cookie day), and dsr designs (chocolate chips)

the ink is SU - chocolate chip, and the ribbon i picked up in the dollar bin at michael's.

no more lurking around the challenge forums for me!  this was lots of fun -- i'll have to play more often!

i hope you enjoy it!  thanks for stopping by!
