sympathy silhouettes --

a dear friend of the family lost her mom recently - still feeling the pains of my own mom's passing, i made this card to send off to the family.  i got a beautiful thank you in return. in this day of emails and texts, and facebook and twitter -- all of which i use (probably too much - LOL), there is something wonderful and so special about a hand written note, a piece of real mail.

i love the simpleness of the card - i love this set, i use it a lot.

the stamp set is from stamping up - called inspired by nature.  the papers  and inks are also SU - chocolate chip, and crumb cake.  there is another example of this stamp set HERE.

i am also going to enter this card into 2 challenges.  it's been awhile since i've had the chance -

Stampin' Sisters in Christ
 - this week's challenge is to use a dark and light color.  this weeks scripture also plays along very well with the purpose of this card:
Ephesians 5: 8-9
“You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light, for light produces every kind of goodness and righteousness and truth.”

and i'm also entering in at Paper Sundaes
 - this week's challenge is a "girlie" card.  while the colors don't seem very girlie, the flowers are.  and i have many beautiful women friends - who love the earthy colors. :)

thanks so much for stopping by!

be sure to check out some of my other posts - and stop by again!

happy stamping!
