a great site for great craft supply deals --

i was playing around on facebook, and an ad caught my attention -- i don't normally click on them, but i did this one.  wanted to share the site with you -- there are alot of great deals.  they change frequently so you 'll have to check them out --

it looks like it's a new site.  when i was checking it out - they have one of my newest obsessions on sale - stickles.  i love these things!  i'm normally against glitter and glue, but these things make it so quick and easy - with no mess.  anyway --- they are on sale there for $1.50 a bottle.  hmmm . . . may need to get some of those! :)

i'm also looking at some punches that are on sale - since i've been  hooked on them lately!

anyway -- check it out.

it's called Blitsy -

quick and simple --

i love the simplicity of this card -- it's so cute, and oh, so simple.

this uses SU cardstock - i think it's called kiwi kiss (???) for the wreath.  the punches are also  SU - the large scallop and the small scallop, it also uses the 1 3/8 circle bunch for the middle of each.   the sentiment is stamped in cherry cobbler.  the ribbon is just something i had on hand.

i also used the same green to sponge around the outside of the scallops.  i also popped the top part of the wreath up with dimensionals.

it's so quick and easy, but so cute too.

thanks for stopping by!

happy stamping ---

rudolph ---

i seem to be using a punch of punches lately here is a cute rudolph made of SU punches, and the SU pennant stamp set.

i got the idea from this card in the splitcoast gallery.  it uses SU punches - the pennant punch and stamp set for the head/face.  the ears and antlers are from the bird punch.  the tuft of hair is from a random flower punch i had on hand - but the one on the card uses the SU flower punch - i think it's called a boho flower - the eyes are a normal hole paper punch - and the nose is a half inch circle.

i used this cute little guy on a repair kit for rudolph -- hehe.

punches are fun ---

thanks for stopping by -- more to come soon.

happy stamping!

'tis the season --

looks like i'm slipping again --- don't worry i've got lots of stuff for you to check out ---

well, it looks like christmas is just around the corner - so i thought i'd share some fun projects with you that i used at some craft fairs this year  --

this first one is so much fun!

i can't take all the credit for it -- i saw the idea on splitcoaststampers.com.   here is a link to the directions on patty's stamping spot .  it uses SU punches, and some embossing folders.   i changed mine up a little, and added some ribbon so this guy can hang on the tree - he's so cute!

more chirstmas projects to come soon ---

thanks for stopping by - happy stamping.

a time to be thankful. . .

it looks like the holiday season is upon us -- thanksgiving is just around the corner, and the christmas season will soon follow.

it seems i've started to think about chirstmas a little earlier than normal this year -- i hate that.  thanksgiving is my favorite holiday  --- but since i opened my etsy shop, and have started to do some craft shows, it seems i have to start thinking about the winter holidays sooner then i'd like.  sigh.

but -- first, here is a thanksgiving project.  this is a set of trivets.

they are stamped with stazon ink on 6 x 6 tumbled tiles.  i also add a bit of cork or felt to the back so it doesn't scratch up the table top.

i love the rustic feel of these - celebrating the harvest.

thanks for stopping by - i've been pretty busy making holiday items for some upcoming shows.  be sure to stop by again soon -- i'll be sharing some of the fun projects.

in the mean time -- have a wonderful thanksgiving!

glass pendants --

hey!  thanks for stopping by!

i have a fun project to share with you today!  i've seen them around alot, and i finally figured out how to make them --- glass pendants.  i sold a bunch of them over the weekend at the craft sale!

these are just a few of the ones i did for the show -- sorry, the first one is a little blurry.

i also added ball chains to them -- they are so fun!

what a great way to use up scrap papers, and a quick and easy way to make something to match an outfit!

i found a great website for buying the glass pieces, metal tags and chain : Sun and Moon Craft Kits

these would make a great gift!  so fun!  the possibilities are endless!

i'll be making more of these for my etsy shop!

thanks for stopping by!  happy stamping, and hope to see you soon!

halloween fun ---

here is one more project i've been working on for halloween. cupcake toppers!!

these are so quick and easy to put together - wouldn't they look great on a cupcake!  i made a set of 12 - from the SU! set - batty for you .  i also used the scallop punch and circle punches from SU!.  i attached them to the lollipop sticks with some craft glue, and tied a matching ribbon.

all set and ready to go on top of some cupcakes for a school party - an office party, or a fun snack!

thanks for stopping by!  happy stamping!

as promised -- bats! :)

here they are - the moment you've been waiting for -- LOL.

here are the bats that i bought along with the ghosts from yesterday.

these are also pretty cute!

i used a SU! set called batty for you to make the cute little tag.  the ribbon and designer paper are some things i had on hand.  very cute for a fun halloween hello!

thanks for stopping by!!!

time for some halloween!

thanks for stopping by!

thought maybe we'd break out some halloween stuff today!

i was in AC Moore's awhile ago, and ran across these pre-cut cards.  i bought these, and some bats that i'll post tomorrow.

the cards themselves are to cute, so i didn't want to do to much to cover them up -- so i just added a cute little "patch" at the bottom.
to cute, right!!

stop by tomorrow and i'll post the bats!  they are too cute too!

have a great day -- and happy stamping!

post-it project --

as i've mentioned before -- i've been working on some stuff for an upcoming craft show.  here is one of the projects i'm working on ---

i made a bunch of these -- they are cute little clipboards for your post-it notes!  i stuck some magnets on the back so it can be attached to the fridge.

these are quick to make -- start off with a square chipboard coaster.  and cover it in designer paper -- i covered both sides, but i guess you could just cove the front if you wanted.  i also added a strip of card stock or designer paper to the binder clip to dress them up a bit.

these are just a few of the ones i made for the show -- thought i'd give you a bit of a sneak peek!

thanks for stopping by!

happy stamping!

apple picking --

another reason i love fall is all the harvest -- apple picking, apple cider - pumpkins and cornstalks.  i love the colors of the season -- earthy and warm

here is another fall card -- another card i sent to my splitcoaststamper secret sister --

another simple card -- it's done on ivory cardstock, and i like the texture of the brown band and the circle.  the apple bucket is from the give thanks SU set.  the ribbon and green pearl accents  are some things i had on hand.  the circle is also popped up with dimensionals.

i colored this in with colored pencils and gamasol.  i really like the look i can get from this product - without pilling the paper, or getting it really wet.

to finish the card i used some espresso ink (SU!) around the edges of the card.

another fun, quick and easy fall card.

stop bac again soon -- i have a cool project to share with you next time!

happy stamping!

happy fall ---

i love fall!  my favorite time of the year!  i don't always like the season that follows, but --- we'll save that for another day -- hehehe.

here is a fun late summer/fall card i made for my secret sister on splitcoaststampers.

i also love sunflowers!  ;)  i have a friend who loves them too -- i'm sure she will love this card! :)

this was such a quick and easy card - and it looks so cool! :)  i used a stampin' up embossing folder (sorry, can't remember the name) to emboss the card stock.  also used SU! chocolate chip ink -- the flower is colored in with a SU! marker too.

quick and easy -- but so cute!

thanks for stopping by!  happy stamping!  see you next time!

busy, busy, busy --

it's been awhile since i've posted -- but i have a good excuse!! :)  i've been getting things ready for a craft show coming up in a few weeks, i started a new job, and i've been keeping up on etsy.  busy, busy, busy.

BUT i have a fun project to share with you today -- i've been playing with altered composition books.

i like this one -- i've been really stuck on pink and brown lately.

it's covered with designer paper -- i love the paper on the binding!  it look leather like with that great texture.

i recently went to a stamp show in rhinebeck, ny -- while i was there i picked up a catalog from the close to my heart company -- the directions to make the flower where in there --- so easy and cute!  here is a close up of it -

it's pretty easy to make -- punch out 9 circles 1 1/4 inches.  fold 8 of them into thirds. glue them all onto the 9th circle.  i added a rhinestone brad and a piece of card stock in the middle.

it adds a nice touch to this composition book!

so -- hopefully the quietness around here will die down!  i've been working on some fall and halloween cards -- and some other projects for the craft show.

stop back soon and check them out!

happy stamping ---

see ya soon!

a sweet little hello --

i'm participating in splitcoast stampers (SCS) divine secret sister card swap again -- it is always so much fun.

this is a card i'm getting ready to drop in the mail to my little sister.  hopefully she doesn't see it here and guess who i am;)  i think i'm safe -- i won't post it over there! hehehe --- it'll be our little secret! :)

i love a black and white card from time to time, and this is a fun one!

here is the recipe -

the background stamp set is from autumn leaves, and it is called flourishes v.2.  the flower and 'hello' are from SU's posy punch, and i used the punch to cut it out.

the rest is just black and white cardstock, and some black ribbon -- and a few little black embellishments.

hope she likes it! :)

thanks for stopping by -- and happy stamping!

anniversary wishes --

hi everyone -- thanks for stopping by!

this card i made for my in-laws anniversary - i like this set from stampin' up - so sweet and simple.

here is how it went together ---

to start with, the card i bought in a package in acmoore's - pre-cut!  fun!

i wanted the design to stand out, so i dabbed some SU chocolate chip ink around the edges.
the ribbon is some i had on hand -

the stamp sets are all SU --
  • have a seat
  • whimsical words
  • so happy for you
i also used SU chocolate chip cardstock and ink , and cheery cobbler ink for the heart.  the words are punched out with the medium size oval SU punch. i also used dimensionals to pop up the heart a bit.

thanks for stopping by!  happy stamping!

i've been featured!!!!

things have been a little quiet in the craft room lately -- i injured my back last week, and have been slowly healing.  but i'm on the road to recovery and should be back up and running again soon --

something exciting i want to share with you --- i received an email last week telling me i had been featured on a blog!  how cool is that --here is the blog:

Pixel Berry Pie Designs Blog

stop by and check it out!  she has lots of cool things featured, and if you are an etsy seller, you can add a link to your shop for some free advertising.

so -- here is the item she featured from my shop  - tumbled tile coasters.

have you ever stamped on tiles?  it takes a little practice, but it's alot of fun.  you want to use stazon ink - or if you need to use a marker, something like a sharpie.  it needs to be something permanent so as not to bleed when you use them -- yes, use them! :)

some people seal the coaster with an acrylic spray -- i don't like to do that.  i like them to be absorbent.  the image will stay for a long time - don't worry.

they are not dishwasher safe, but can be wiped with a damp cloth.

this set of 2 uses the SU set - because i care, and a stamp i picked up in michaels for the background.  i used timber brown, royal purple, and olive green stazon ink.

i also but some felt on the back of the tile so it doesn't scratch any surfaces.

thanks for stopping by!  happy stamping!

be sure to stop by the blog i listed above - lots of cool stuff to check out!

a little bird told me. . .

i love the colors in this card! i'm entering this into the stampin' sisters in Christ weekly challenge.  the challenge is to use one of God's creatures - great or small in a card.  this little birdie is so cute here ---

the papers are from a stack i picked up at acmoore's last week --- they were a "hot buy" -  $20 packs for $10 -- so of course i bought 2 ;)

the ribbon i had on hand, and i think came from the dollar bin at micheal's.  the punches are from stampin' up.

this was so quick to throw together.  it's blank -- so it can be used for just about anything.

thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

quick and cute magnet

i know, i know --- this has been neglected again.  i'll try to be better! ;)

here is a cute -- and quick project for you today ---

i just made some of these to put in my etsy shop.  the other one is a cranberry color.

these are made with the SU stamp set simply said.  the papers are also from SU -- an older patern pack - pack 3 i believe.

once everything is stamped and put together i put it in a 2.5 x 3.5 acrylic frame - with a magnet on teh back.

i love this stamp set -- i use it alot.

this is such a sweet little gift for a friend!

thanks for stopping by!  happy stamping!

stamping on candles --

wow -- i really need to be better about posting things.  sorry about that ---

i have a fun project for you today -- stamping on candles!  and how to make your own rub-ons!

my husband paul works with HOBY (hugh o'brien youth) and he is traveling to chicago to take part in thier world leadershoip conference.  eachyear he takes a small gift to share with the other adult volunteers.  this years theme is "ignite your light" - so i came up with this cute idea -- stamped on a candle.  the candle is completely burnable.

here are the pictures - directions will be below.

have you ever stamped on a candle?  if not, your in for a treat - it's easy!

what you'll need:

a candle - any size and color will do
tissue paper - to match the candle
stamps
markers
heat tool
oven mitt
old stockings/nylons

first stamp your design onto the tissue paper, use the markers to add color.  then you will want to trim around the design.  next, lay the design on the candle, and use the oven mitt to hold it in place - the heat tool will get pretty hot.  using the heat tool  - wave it over the image, be sure to get the edges - you will see the paper melt into the candle.  once it is all "melted" in, use the nylon stocking  to smooth over and buff the candle.

now --- i didn't have a stamp that i wanted to use for this project, so i created my own digi stamp, and created a rub-on.  i ran the digi stamp through the printer and printed it onto a transparency sheet (be sure if you are using words you print it out backwards).  be sure the ink doesn't dry too much, place it down on top of the paper (in this case tissue paper) and use a bone folder, or craft stick to rub it off -- like you would do for a rub on.  you can reuse the sheet -- just use a baby wipe to remove the leftover ink.

lots of fun things can be done ---

in the candles above i also used a little bit of stickles to add some sparkle to the candles -- it's hard to see in the photos.

hope you give it a try!

thanks for stopping by -- i'll post more soon! :)

happy stamping!

i'm back ;)

i haven't posted anything new in a while --so, i thought i'd fix that today.

first of all --- happy birthday america!  happy july4th!

i've been MIA for a bit because i'm getting ready to open an etsy shop - i actually hope to do that in the next week.  so -- be watching for news about that.  you can join my new facebook page by clicking the link in the sidebar.

anyway ----

i have a fun project for you today - a corner bookmark.  these are so handy and cute.

here is one i did the other day ---

here are some rough measurments so you can try your own.

after it is cut and folded - place double sided tape on the little tabs that stick don and bond together.  the one side slips over the book page.

in the one i made above - i covered white cardstock with DP to make it a little heavier.  stamped and cut out the dragonfly, and added some stickles for sparkle!

cute and simple!

thanks for stopping by!  happy stamping!

trying something different . . .

one of the "newest" things in stamping is digital stamps -- or digi stamps.  i'm not sure what i think of it -- to me, it's not stamping, it's clipart.

well, i caved in and tried 2 images.  i bought them from bugaboo  stamps.

my dad asked me to make him a card for my nephew (his grandson).  he graduated today from pre-k.  dad couldn't find a card he liked - or one that said pre-k and grandson.

so -- when i checked my stamps the only graduation stamps i had seemed to old for an almost 5 year old.  so -- i remembered seeing bugaboo -- and loving the cute images - i also remembered they did a freebie on fridays.  so i went to check it out - and found 2 great images.  i love the cards -- they turned out great.

here there are -- the owl is the card i made for my dad -- the turtle i did for him and another little boy.

too cute!

the papers were some i had on hand.  i colored the images with colored pencils and gamsol.  i printed the sentiments on the computer. the shape around the image was cut with nestabillities.  the inks are SU - parfait peach, and marine blue.

i don't think i'll go all digi anytime soon.  i miss inking up a stamp - and it seems, like i said before - like clip art.

but -- these did turn to great -- and they were just what i was looking for.  so -- once in awhile it's fun.

thanks for stopping by!  and happy stamping!

take a spin --

i was playing on youtube a while ago, and ran across a video showing a "new" fold for a card -- it's new to me anyway - maybe you've seen it?

here is the card - a birthday card for a little boy.  and the game spinner really works! ;)

here is the inside:

here is a link to the video i watched on youtube.com.  she gives all the directions and measurements : youtube - fun fold video

here are the supplies i used --

cardstock -- white, and SU - ballet blue, and real red
SU markers and black  and real red ink.

the stamp set is from SU - called take a spin, and the hardware is also from SU (game spinner).  the inside sentiment is celebrations from CTMH.

the star is chipboard.

very cute!

t-shirt . . .

you are going to love this project today!  this is just the cutest!
i'm using these for father's day cards this year ---

how cute is this!  this stamp is from the same company (toomuchfunrubberstamps.com) that i used for the previous post as well as the shirt card and the tote bag cards.  love this!

here is what it looks like open/flat.  the stamp is the same type of stamp as the shirt card -- click the link above to check it out.

other supplies used:
SU - black ink, cameo pink marker - stamp set very punny
the letters are from n alphabet set i had on hand.

this was so quick and easy -- and IMO --- soooo cute!

thanks for stopping by - be sure to check back in tomorrow - i'm working on  birthday card with a cool "new" fold --ok, new to me, maybe not to you, but you won't want to miss it!

thanks for stopping by -- and happy stamping!

perfect pocket post-its ---

i have a cute little project for you today ---

i bought this stamp when i was at the allentown show this spring -- you may remember the shirt and tote bag cards that i posted before - this is from the same stamp company  -- toomuchfun rubberstamps

i used it to make a cover for a small post-it note pad.  it's the perfect size for your purse or briefcase.

here is a picture of it all closed up --- sorry, i didn't realize how bad the picture looked until i posted it, but you get the general idea.

you can't tell from the picture, but it is stamped on  an orangish colored designer paper -backed by cardstock to make it heavier -- and it has a small floral print.

here are some more pictures of it - open.

i also used SU markers to color it in - old olive, summer sun, and close to cocoa.  the "edges" are scored to fold over the post-it note pad. and i used an x-acto knife to cut the slit for the tab.

thanks for stopping in!  hope to see you again soon!

happy stamping!

a sketch challenge --

while i was playing around in the craft room yesterday i took on another challenge.  this is a sketch challenge (#336) from splitcoast stampers -

here is the sketch to follow --

here is my card -- a cute and simple design.

i love this sketch -- it makes for a neat idea.  i'll have to play with it some more.

the stamp sets are from hero arts and studio g.  the inks are from SU - peach parfait and marine mist.  the designer paper is some i had on hand from a stack i probably got at michaels or acmoores.

thanks for stopping by!  happy stamping.

be sure to stop back -- working on a cute new project that i'll post about soon.

sticking to what i know today . . .

i had some time to hang out in the stamp room today, and i had big ideas of what i wanted to do.  i'm getting ready to open an etsy shop, so i was going to start working on some stuff to sell.  lots of ideas -- and i played with some of them, but nothing turned out the way i wanted it to - i was stamping on tiles, stamped on a piece of fabric -- nothing looked right.  so --- i decided to stick to what i know today  and made a card.

this card is for the clean and simple challenge (#122) at splitcoast stampers.  the challenge was to make a card with a play on words.

here it is:

how cute!!!  right?

i used SU stamp set - very punny.  the red cardstock is also from SU and the red marker (real red), and the punches are also SU.  the ribbon is some i had on hand.  i also used demensionals to pop the bug up, and black pearls for some pop.

thanks so much for stopping by - be sure to come back tomorrow when i 'll post a card from another challenge i was working on --

happy stamping!

note cards for a friend --

a friend of mine was looking for a note card with a sunflower.  she is a big fan of the movie 'under the tuscan sun' and loved how the woman wrote note on note cards with sunflowers.  she asked me if i could make a card with a sunflower - no words, just the flower.  well -- i thought i had a bigger sunflower stamp, but this was all i could find.  i'm still not convinced i don't have one somewhere, and if i do i'll make another one ;)

this is a simple, but cute card - just like she wanted.

i'm not sure where the image comes from, and the papers are just scrap i had on hand.  i colored the image with colored pencils and gamsol.

she also mentioned that black-eyed susans are one of her favorite flowers, so while i had my SU inspired by nature stamp set out i made this one for her too.

this isn't something i do very often -- simply stamped right on the card.  i usually like to layer things and make colors pop.  but this seemed to work nice - it looks water-colored, but i simply used markers directly on the stamp.  the colors used were also from SU - old olive, summer sun, and close to cocoa.

hope she likes them!

thanks for stopping by!  happy stamping!

lipgloss project --

this is a quick little project i put together the other day, to tuck into a gift -- and had i had more time i would have decorated it more --- but it's cute, so i thought i'd share ;)

this cute little holder holds a round lipgloss / lip balm / chapstick.
the paper is SU - cameo pink.  the stamp set is SU - doodle this, as well as a black SU ink pad.  the black ribbon i had on hand.  i also used the double slot punch to punch holes for the ribbon.

here is what it looks like inside:

i used a piece of black cardstock to secure the lip gloss inside.

here are the measurements i used -- they are just to give you an idea.  this could easily be cute down and made smaller.  i also thought of playing with it to make it look like  a little purse.  (btw -- sorry for the - what looks like a hair on the picture below - i just noticed it -- hmmm.)

you can click on the image and it will open larger.
